Lee, Tung-liang Visited Garrisons in Remote Mountain and Expressed Appreciation for Their Dedication of Remaining at Their Spots

To honor and encourage the efforts of service members stationed in remote areas, Honorary Chairman of the Friends of Armed Forces Association, Lee, Tung-Liang, visited garrisoned troops in the northern mountain regions today. He was accompanied by key military leaders, including Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Chen, Deputy Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Lee, and Deputy Director of the Political Warfare Bureau, Major General Chang. The visit aimed to express respect and appreciation on behalf of the whole society, offering warmth and encouragement to the troops through concrete action. This gesture demonstrated public support for the military and boosted the morale of those serving in isolated and challenging environments.

During the visit, Honorary Chairman Lee expressed his sincere respect and gratitude to all service members for their dedication in carrying out combat readiness training despite challenging missions and limited resources. In addition to presenting consolation funds, he warmly shook hands with each soldier, inquiring about their daily life and training conditions, and commended their long-standing commitment to their duties and steadfast presence at their posts. In appreciation of his selfless dedication to the welfare of the armed forces, the military unit presented Honorary Chairman Lee with a certificate of gratitude and commemorative gifts.

“I have always wanted to come see you all. You have worked so hard!” Honorary Chairman Lee acknowledged that troops stationed in remote areas often face limited resources and must endure the unpredictable mountain weather. Despite these challenges, they remain always committed to rigorous training and vigilance in safeguarding national security. Honorary Chairman Lee pledged to continue supporting the armed forces, serving as their strongest backing and most reliable source of support.
