The Ministry of National Defense stated that the threat from the People's Liberation Army to Taiwan and the surrounding area has been continuously evolving since 2022, from "deterring Taiwan" to "impacting the First Island Chain." The current large-scale assembly of naval forces is evidence.
The Ministry stressed that China's long-term goal is to intimidate every party in the surrounding area and undermine the international order based on rule, but it will not gain international recognition. Only if R.O.C. armed forces strengthen themselves, prepare for combat, and increase military power can we form alliances with like-minded countries and deter war.
The video drew materials from the recent live preparatory exercise of R.O.C. armed forces. This exercise, conducted at a tactical location based on the threat posed by the enemy and considering weather conditions and other factors, demonstrated the confidence of the officers and soldiers in safeguarding national security while building capabilities and maintaining determination.
